Services - our areas of expertise

We work closely with mortgage lenders and other providers of financial services that are regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

As such, we are aware of the requirements placed upon our clients by their regulatory body, such as 'Treating Customers Fairly', and we embed these requirements in the way we work.

Our team have experience of dealing with cases in the County Court,

the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Here is an overview of the areas in which we specialise.

Property Litigation

We offer litigation services to mortgage lenders and act for a range of such companies to manage their property repossession Litigation, including Defended or complex matters.

This means a cradle-to-grave service through the entire Litigation process, including Court attendance, leading up to eviction, repossession of the property and subsequent sale, when necessary.

Our Civil Litigation team is the biggest department in the practice. We specialise in complex and high value mortgage claims, debt recovery and enforcement claims.

We have vast experience in Consumer Credit law and complex mortgage fraud. We also deal with more general banking recoveries and can advise mortgage lenders on contentious issues.

We also have substantial Mortgage Litigation Advocacy experience.

In addition we can advise on claims of unenforceability, unfair relationships, arrears disputes and property disputes.

By using a proactive and commercial approach when resolving disputes we can achieve the required result.

Conveyancing

We can advise and act for your business in matters of residential and commercial conveyancing. We act for mortgage lenders, property investors and asset managers.

The majority of our Conveyancing work comes from Mortgage Repossessions. We have direct contact with the Lenders' Asset Managers, to whom we provide weekly progress updates.

We handle both commercial and residential, Freehold and Leasehold Properties. We also deal with Shared Ownership Properties whereby in most cases we have to arrange purchase of the Freehold Title.

We also act for LPA Receivers in relation to the sales, once they have been instructed to sell the Property.

We believe we are experts in this type of work and our specialist team can help you to achieve the desired outcome swiftly and smoothly.

Auction Funding

We act for financial organisations that lend money to property professionals to buy properties at auction. The necessary bridging finance needs to be in place quickly, sometimes within as little as 24 hours.

Instructions generally arrive with no notice, and with pressing deadlines for this finance, we are required to act swiftly to ensure our client's requirements are met and that their customer can then proceed to completion in time.

With plenty of experience in these time-pressured deals, our dedicated team can ensure this potentially stressful process is managed efficiently and completed smoothly, within the required deadlines.
